What is Threading?

Threading is an ancient Middle Eastern and South Asian practice of gentle hair removal that dates back centuries.  It i simple and mostly painless, and can act as a natural alternative to waxing.
By twisting and pulling a piece of thread over the areas of unwanted hair a professional can shape your eyebrows into the fabulous shape you are looking for.  The process lifts the hair follicle directly from the root without the use of any chemicals.  You can pull one hair or multiple hairs at a time.  Unlike waxing, threading allows for more accuracy and target even the smallest of hairs and hard to reach areas.
What parts of the body can you thread?
Although you can pretty much thread any part of your body that has hair, threading is most widely done on your face.  This includes eyebrows, chin, upper lip, forehead, neck and cheeks.
Is it painful?
Well, it is definitely less painful than waxing.  Unlike waxing however, when threading, you are not pulling on the skin; only the hair follicle, and because you're not pulling the skin, there is less pain.  Understand however, that different people have different pain tolerances as do different parts of the body.
How long does threading take?
Depending on how hairy you are, the process can very.  However, the average time is 15-20 minutes.
How often should I get threading done?
Much like waxing, you are removing the hair from the root. Therefore, the process can last as long as 4-5 weeks.
Can I do threading on my own?
Yes, however we don't recommend it.  Would you cut your own hair?  Just because you can does not mean you will yield the best results.  Having one our professionals do the threading, you are much more likely to get the results that  you are looking for.
